报告题目: MEMS type equations and some related problems

报告摘要:MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) is an emerging technology that is attracting significant attention in the engineering, chemistry and biology communities. MEMS were successfully utilized in breakthrough applications, such as accelerometers for air bag deployment in automobiles, and digital mirrors for high-resolution display. Recently, many mathematical considerations have been done for the MEMS, which can be modeled by elliptic or parabolic equations with an inverse square type nonlinearity, on the estimates of the pull-in voltage and the quenching phenomenon. Some related problems are also discussed.
